After celebrating its 10-year anniversary last season, MOVE IT, the U.K.’s largest dance event, returns to London on March 18-20!

Once again, dancers of all ages and levels will come together for one exciting festival presenting all things dance: classes, performances, workshops, career-route advice, shopping and more! Here are eight reasons you don’t want to miss this enormous event if you live in the U.K.:

#1. The diverse and spectacular performances set for the Main Stage. Some of the main highlights include Capezio Athlete Lukas McFarlane on Friday; the legendary Jason Samuels Smith, innovative Wayne McGregor Company and gorgeous English National Ballet Principal Elena Glurjidze on Saturday; and ballroom phenomena Karen and Kevin Clifton on Sunday. Capezio will be collaborating with Jelli Studios for “a big dance number” on the Main Stage, according to European Marketing Coordinator Ellis Powell. Student dancers should also make a point to see the Akram Khan Big Dance Pledge presentation on Friday so they can prepare for the 10th and final edition of Big Dance on May 20.

#2. An incredible line-up of over 230 dance classes! Whether you’re an experienced dancer or a novice looking to try dance for the first time, MOVE IT has something for everyone. Each class is 45 minutes and features flooring by Harlequin Floors and sound/audio by Hire Frequencies. Nearly every dance style in the world is on slate – from Beginners Ballet with RAD, to Bollywood Fusion, to Ballroom, to Street Dance, to Commercial Jazz, to Acrobatrix, to Musical Theatre, to Caribbean, to Contemporary, to Waacking, to Zumba – there’s truly a class for whatever suits your interests!

#3. Specialised courses for teachers, choreographers, parents, professional dancers and/or those aspiring to be a professional dancer! MOVE IT Pro offers professional technique master classes, as well as inspirational seminars, which go in-depth on various topics such as funding, nutrition for dancers and how to start your own dance business. Whether you’re a dance instructor, a studio owner, a dance mom or dad, or a college student looking to go pro, there’s a helpful course being presented with vital information for you.

#4. Non-stop shopping with discounted prices! Shop ’til you drop with Capezio and 180 other exhibitors – plus enjoy exclusive show-offers! Offers may include buy-one-get-one-free deals and up to 20% off on all orders. Capezio will be at Stand 630 with live dancers performing in dancing windows throughout the weekend. There will be exclusive show discounts at the stand, a fun selfie competition and signings with Lukas Macfarlane and fellow Capezio Athlete Eleiyah Navis from Dance Mums. Lukas’ signings will be held at 11am on Friday and 12.30pm on Sunday and Eleiyah will be signing on Friday & Saturday at 3pm as well as Sunday at 2.30pm

#5. MOVE IT’s dedicated program of talks and practical workshops for acting, singing and musical theatre. This will give dancers the chance to gather the latest techniques, expert advice, career inspiration and tricks of the trade as they aspire for the West End or Broadway.

#6. The Freestyle Stage and its newly dedicated DJ will present the U.K.’s freshest moves. If you’re looking to challenge yourself as a dancer, simply head to the stage each day at either 10am or 1pm to sign up to perform. Prizes courtesy of Ratchet Clothing are up for grabs each day!

#7. A chance to spot the stars of tomorrow! Performances will be presented by some of the U.K.’s best dance schools, colleges, academies and educational establishments at The Showcase Theatre. This will be the perfect opportunity to pick out rising stars and emerging talent. Plus, it’s a great way to compare schools, meet principals and current students if you’re trying to choose the college that’s right for you. More than 30 educational institutions will be represented.

#8. The chance to see and be seen! One of the biggest reasons to attend MOVE IT is the increased opportunity to network! As a dance fan, student or professional, networking can be crucial. With an average of 24,000 people in attendance, MOVE IT is bound to broaden your knowledge, contact base and dance network through its various activities and events. Don’t miss your chance to meet new faces!
